Paintings of Buddha on canvas – soothing & inspiring

I wanted my latest art series to touch the heart. I have depicted the human emotions of joy and desire in my abstract art, however, this time I wanted to paint something which is both soothing and inspiring at the same time.

Buddha’s teachings on life are so profound, I decided to express above emotions in my paintings of Buddha on canvas. These soothing and inspiring Buddha paintings aim to foster love, strength, hope, peace and happiness.

Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship – Buddha

The absolute calmness of Buddha can enable you to experience serenity and spirituality. Creating a Buddha painting can be emotionally enriching and inspiring. This pure soul connection is what causes me to intricately paint its beauty, over and over again…

Learning from the Buddha way, and my moment of awakening

It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles – Buddha

Buddha is a title which means “the awakened one” or “the enlightened one”. Born to a king, Siddhartha Gautama sought out to explore the deeper meaning of life. He left his comforts to lead a life of pain and hardship. He achieved enlightenment under a Bodhi tree, where to his realization, inner liberation was not through harsh constraints but through living a “Life of balance” or the “Middle way”.

I often find this balance by painting a calm Buddha face, locked in my home studio amidst the chaos outside. While I don’t paint under a Bodhi tree, a blank canvas and some colors are enough to ignite my imagination.

My moment of awakening is the creation of a balanced Buddha painting – one which soothes you immediately, but inspires you for the day ahead.
